The relief valve can adjust pressure, functioning similarly to a pressure regulator. In hydraulic systems, it primarily serves to stabilize pressure, maintain constant pressure, relieve the system during overflow, and provide safety protection.

Function, Profile
The ZDB and Z2DB pressure valves are pilot-operated relief valves, and they feature a stackable valve plate design.
These valves are used to limit the pressure within hydraulic systems.
Their basic structure consists of a housing (7) and one or two overflow valve spools.
The system pressure is set by the regulating element (4).
When the system is at rest, the valve remains closed. The pressure at oil port A acts directly on the spool (1). Simultaneously, this pressure is transmitted through orifice (2) to the spring-loaded side of the spool (1), and via orifice (3), it reaches the pilot seat (6). If the pressure at oil port A rises above the preset value set on spring (5), the pilot seat (6) opens. As a result, fluid can flow from the spring-loaded side of the spool (1), passing through orifice (3) and channel (8), and eventually exiting at oil port T. This pressure drop causes the spool (1) to shift, thereby opening the connection between ports A and T while maintaining the pressure setting at spring (5).
The pilot oil returns externally from two spring chambers via port T.

The ZDB and Z2DB pressure valves are pilot-operated relief valves featuring a stackable valve plate design. These valves are used to limit system pressure. Each valve primarily consists of a housing (7) and one or two pressure valve spools. System pressure can be adjusted using the adjusting element (4). In the initial position, the valve remains closed. The pressure at port A acts directly on the valve spool (1), while simultaneously applying force through the nozzle (2) to the spring-loaded side of the spool (1). This pressure is also transmitted via the metering orifice (3) to the pilot spool (6). If the pressure at port A exceeds the preset value set on the spring (5), the pilot spool (6) opens, allowing hydraulic oil to flow from the spring-loaded side of spool (1), through the metering orifice (3) and into port T (TA), via channel (8). The resulting pressure drop causes spool (1) to move, thereby opening the connection between ports A and T (TA). The pressure setting on the spring (5) is maintained at port A.
